Arguably one of the best Grand Canal views from a Venetian cafe — water traffic seen just steps from the coffee table. A modern revamp that respects the historic architecture within this regal palazzo. Perfect for some refreshment before and after visiting the Ca’ Pesaro exhibits. A must-visit when in Venice.

The location of the bar terrace is absolutely incredible, right on the Grand Canal. There are two tables in the first row and we had to wait a little to change seats and enjoy the view, but we didn't have to wait for our coffee to be served.

Incredible view, reasonable price and good service. The girl reminded us that the orange juice isn't fresh made which was really sweet of her we didn't expect it anyway given the price. It was my first time having caffe orzo, which was an interesting flavour really enjoyed the time chilling there after walking around the gallery.

for tiramisu and a cappuccino i paid 9 euros i think tiramusu wasn’t that good but you pay for the view. It would be better if those glasses weren’t there because it really affects the view badly

Perched elegantly along the shimmering Grand Canal, Bar Cà Pesaro offers a rare blend of Venetian charm and modern comfort nestled within the historic Ca’ Pesaro palazzo. This café isn’t just a place to rest—it’s an immersive experience where the bustling water traffic becomes part of your morning espresso ritual. The refined yet respectful renovation preserves the regal architecture, allowing guests to sip coffee while soaking in centuries of Venetian heritage.

The highlight here is undeniably the terrace, boasting one of the city’s best vantage points over the canal. Early risers and gallery visitors alike find it the perfect pause before or after a cultural journey. Waiting a short spell for a prime seat in the front row is a small price for the breathtaking panorama that unfolds glass-free over the water. The atmosphere is both tranquil and alive, capturing Venice’s unique rhythm.

When it comes to the menu, Bar Cà Pesaro surprises with its balance of price and quality. The cappuccino is smooth and comforting, pairing well with classic tiramisu—though some might say the dessert leans more on ambiance than decadence. Sampling the caffe orzo reveals an intriguing, earthy note that refreshes beyond the usual coffee offerings, showcasing local flavors in a thoughtful way.

Service here matches the setting—warm and attentive without overstating. Transparency about offerings, such as noting the orange juice isn’t freshly squeezed, shows respect for the guest’s experience. This nuance adds to the overall feeling of authenticity and care in a bustling tourist hub.

In essence, Bar Cà Pesaro isn’t just about food and drink; it’s a sensory gateway to Venice itself. The café invites you to slow down, relish each sip against the backdrop of the Grand Canal, and feel a genuine connection to the city’s artistic and historic soul.
